Welcome international students!

Use this guide to learn more about what a library is, what we offer, and what a librarian does! You will also find more information about UDC and Washington, DC, English language learning resources, and more. 

About UDC Library

Like most universities in the US, UDC has libraries with resources, such as books and online databases, available to students. Librarians at UDC can assist you with research assignments, including helping you learn how to find, evaluate, use, and cite sources. All library services are free!

UDC Library is part of the Learning Resources Division with locations at both the Van Ness Campus and the Lamond-Riggs Community College:

  • Van Ness Campus – Building 39, Level B
  • Lamond-Riggs Community College – 2nd floor, near the elevator

Both locations provide helpful services for students:

  • Access to research and library materials
  • Access to Washington Research Libraries Consortium materials
  • Study space
  • Computers (PC and Mac), printers, scanners, and photocopiers
  • Help with research assignments and using library materials
