    Ways to Relax this Winter

by Meghan Kowalski on 2020-12-07T09:00:00-05:00 | 0 Comments

Photograph hands in mittens holding hot coffee with text "Winter Self Care: Get Cozy - it's time to take care of yourself."It's been "a year" to say the least. 2020 is unlike anything any of us have ever experienced. It's been exhausting and we could all use a break.

Take a deep breath. Fill your chest with air. Now hold for a moment. Slowly - release the breath... drop your shoulders... and exhale fully. Repeat until you feel the tension release and your mind becomes center.

Relaxation is an important part of self-care. We cannot take care of others until we take care of ourselves. Self-care is not selfish. Being relaxed can help you ease stress and may help with sleep and anxiety. Here are a few activities you can try to relax your mind and your body.
