    In this session, we'll introduce all the services and resources the library offers, including:  

    • Access to research and library materials online and in print   
    • Access to Washington Research Libraries Consortium (WRLC) materials   
    • A place to study   
    • Computers, printers, scanners, and photocopiers   
    • Help with research assignments and using the materials in the library

    Creating Your News Diet

    When it comes to the news, it’s impossible to keep up with everything. In this session, we delve into the ways you can craft a balanced and informed “news diet.” We will share strategies for curating a personalized news list that fosters critical thinking while providing a well-rounded understanding of current events. This session is recommended for everyone and will share insights and practical tips to help you navigate the news media landscape effectively. We will offer provide a list of possible news outlets to follow.

    Personal Archiving for Parents

    July 12 - 1:00PM

    Personal archiving is the selecting, maintaining, and preserving a record of the objects of your personal experiences and life to keep them for the future. In this session, we will provide a comprehensive introduction to personal archiving for those who are parenting. The session will cover:  

    • What is personal archiving? 
    • Why and what to archive  
    • Creating your archive  
    • Best Practices  
    • What to do with all that “kid stuff” 
    • A look at our librarian's personal archive 

    While this session highlights best practices for those handling “kid stuff,” it includes practical tips everyone can use.

    College Prep Tips

    August 9 - 1:00PM

    Gear up for the semester in this session that will equip you with the tools and tips you need to succeed. We’re sharing practical tips for planning, time management, study tips, note-taking, and more! We’ll also point you to valuable tools, resources, and departments on campus that can help you excel in college.
