Open pedagogy is way to promote active learning through the use of open tools like OER materials, open software, open courseware, and other freely available resources. Inherent in the practice is engaging students as creators of their own education and educational materials. Through open pedagogy, students demonstrate their learning and understand through the creation of materials. These materials are then openly licensed and shared thus furthering the growth of others.
