Why does it matter?

Whether it's a scholarly article for an assignment or that article you saw on Facebook, it is important to critically evaluate the merits of any source. Not every article on a topic is a good article. And not every good article will serve your specific needs. Take the time to think critically about sources to determine their value, and their shortcomings

The CRAAP Test

The CRAAP test is a common test that you can use to evaluate sources.

CRAAP stands for:

  • Currency
  • Relevance
  • Authority
  • Accuracy 
  • Purpose
