Thanksgiving is this week. At this time of year, it's fun to look at all of the things, big and small, that we are grateful for. Here are some things that we are giving thanks for this year.
That we work with a wonderful team of faculty and staff
Having more than enough step stools to reach the high shelves in the stacks
La Cheeserie at Calvert Woodley
When the elevator doors open right when you push the button
A desk drawer full of work snacks (mmmm, Cheez-Its)
The gorgeous fall foliage DC got this year
Cuddles with our pets
Coffee and other hot beverages
Walking onto a metro train right as the doors close
Post-It notes
Sharing recipes
Never knowing what fun chat reference questions are going to come in
And, of course, we are thankful that we get to work with the amazing Firebird nation. You are what makes our day brighter.
