    Laptop Loaner Program

    The Library has a limited number of laptops available for checkout through the Student Success Laptop Loaner Program.

    Before you can reserve a laptop for pickup at the Library, you MUST complete an applicantion and agreement form and be approved to receive a device by the Office of Student Success. You can apply here.

    AFTER you receive your confirmation of approval, please follow the steps below to reserve and pick-up your device.

     

    Reserve a Laptop

    1. Visit the reservation page directly (Reservation Page) or follow the link to reserve a laptop in the BOOK NOW box on the Library’s homepage.
    2. On the reservation page, click the “Availability” link in the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 box.
    3. This will direct you to a page showing all the available laptops and the dates available to schedule a pick-up.
    4. Select a laptop (they’re all the same) and pick-up date. You can select a date using the arrows or calendar at the top of the list. Available dates for pick-up are shown in green.
    5. After you select a date, the page will scroll to the bottom to confirm your selection. 
    6. To confirm your pickup, click the white “Add to Cart & Checkout” button.
    7. Complete the confirmation form with your first and last name and UDC email address. 
    8. Click the blue “Submit My Booking” button.
    9. Your reservation is now confirmed. You will also receive an email confirmation. (Check your SPAM/OTHER folder.) BRING CONFIRMATION EMAIL WITH YOU.

    NOTE: If you have NOT been approved to check out a laptop by the University first, your reservation will be CANCELED. Make sure you have been approved by the Office of Student Success BEFORE reserving your laptop.

     

    Picking-up a Laptop

    To pick up your reserved laptop, first, comply with all instructions for visiting campus. You MUST wear a mask and have your UDC OneCard.

    1. Head to Building 71 (4250 Connecticut Ave. NW) on the 6th Floor.
    2. Stop at the Media Services desk.
    3. Provide the staff member with your name and OneCard. They may ask to see your confirmation email.
    4. A staff member will check out the laptop for you.

     

    Returning a Laptop

    Laptops may be returned any time the Library is open. All laptops MUST be returned by the date in your registration. NO EXCEPTIONS

    You DO NOT need to make a reservation to return your laptop. Just bring the laptop and all power cables to the Media Services desk.
