    COVID-19 Information

by Meghan Kowalski on 2020-03-13T11:14:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus that has not been previously identified in humans. The COVID-19 is the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, Hubei province, China. Since December 2019, cases have been identified in a growing number of countries. Cases have been positively identified in the D.C. metro area.

During this time, the University has opted to move classes online to decrease the risk of transmission to members of the UDC community.

If you want more information about how UDC is handling this incident, please visit the University's COVID-19 Information page and myUDC (login required).

During this outbreak, the CDC recommends frequent hand washing (for at least 20 seconds) and practicing social distancing. You can learn more about this outbreak and what to do on the CDC's Coronavirus Disease 2019 webpage.

For more local information, please visit the D.C. government's coronavirus page.

Finally, if you're tired of washing your hands to Happy Birthday, here's a list of other songs with 20-second long choruses to try.
