How to Use this Guide

This guide is designed to provide with you the basic information and skills necessary to create effective PowerPoints. You should start with the Presentation Guidelines page and then move on to the Design Guidelines page when you're ready to start creating PowerPoint slides.

The PowerPoint presentations in the Examples page will give you a good idea of what kinds of PowerPoint presentations work and what kind do not.

The Learning Resources page will lead you to other guides and books that will provide you with additional information on creating PowerPoint presentations.

The Citing and Citations page will give you information on how to correctly include attributions in your PowerPoint slides.

The Image Resources page will lead to you to freely available images that you can use for PowerPoint presentations; it also gives you information on copyright and how copyright may affect what you can show in your PowerPoint slides.
